Over the last weekend we participated at a very cool hackathon organized by Team Distinction, a very successful, Budapest-based startup creating amazing mobile apps. We have wanted to meet them since 2010 when we first saw their unique Windows Phone app, Cocktail Flow.
The Hackathon
The idea of the hackathon was to create a viable mobile app from scratch in 24h.

There were 9 teams, 9 cool ideas and 29 participants.

Balance – iOS app to organize your life better

FaceRace – iOS game to recognize Facebook friends
Team Vienna
Beany – Windows Phone social network for 2 people, the future mom and dad
We joined at the last moment and we are glad we were accepted.

Ready Set Holiday – Windows Phone holiday preparation app, completely redesigned.

Meanwhile, besides designing and coding there were other championships with prizes 🙂
The Winner
was team Dubai, with their very useful and cool app, Weat. Congrats! and we hope to use it soon. 🙂
There were also two prizes from Microsoft, one won by Team Reykjavik with Poke application and one by us.
Our App
We are very grateful to Bálint who helped us with the design and also to Zoli, for a very nice app icon.
Our app is a completely new and redesigned version, developed for Windows Phone.
We are working on it and will soon publish it. Stay tuned!
