DIY App Logo Made of Stones and Natural Moss
Last year, we decided to make a DIY app logo for “Ready Set Holiday!”. We wanted it to represent us and our app as well, so it was the perfect opportunity to make something creative and original. We value authenticity, and we usually go the extra mile.
When we first talked about the logo, we kept thinking what kinds of materials we could combine to recreate the orange colour surrounding the white logo. We had a few ideas, but none of the materials we thought of were practical and long-lasting.
As the discussion went forward, we figured we would hang the logo in the Zen Room, where we gather to relax and talk about our future plans. This way, we could use any materials which matched the design of the Zen Room. Finally, we decided on making a large white circle and drawing the logo on it, filling in the logo with natural green moss and the surrounding space with small white stones – a natural and zen-like design.

First, we had to wait for the paint on the wooden circle to dry and then we started drawing the contour of the logo.
Then, we started fixing the stones around the writing, moving forward to the margins.
When all the stones were fixed, we continued with the moss.
