Today I held an HTML5, Ajax, jQuery training at IT School part of AIESEC University.
We tried some of the new features implemented in HTML5 and discussed the future ones and the current browser compatibilities.
We covered:
- New markup for semantic HTML: header, footer, nav, article, aside and section tags
- New attributes and new input types
- Audio and video
- Drag & drop
- Canvas vs. SVG
- WebStorage: Local Storage, Session Storage and Web SQL
- Application cache
- Geolocation
- WebSockets
and also talked about jQuery, Ajax and some great sites and apps built completely with HTML5.
