Mobile Summer 2.0
Mobile Summer 2.0 took place between the 17th and 28th of August. During the event, 6 mobile apps were developed. Our 15 participants made a great job learning Java in order to develop their own app ideas on Android. The six teams made live demos of their mobile apps on the 29th of August, on the “closing” day.
We had the apps showcase an awards ceremony on Saturday, the 29th of August, in Ambasada. Each team presented their app and its functionality. Florin Popovici, Szántó Károly, Oana Csertus and Arthur Csertus were in the jury. Thank you very much for your presence and the awesome article about the premiere!
Besides the cool participation prizes from Google, our agency completed the prizes with headsets, batteries, mugs and good tea.
The first place was handed to the team made by Militaru Adrian and Adrian Vlad with the QUIZ A+ app, the second place to the team made by Boran Laurențiu, Petrie Adriana and Silaghi Andrew with SACK. and finally, on the third place was handed to the team #Quiz Time made by Yűzgűlen Begűm and Felix Suma.
Also, more photos from the app presentations day soon!
The Mobile Apps
SACK
it was designed to be a social platform to share unique moments with friends. Using the proximity sensor, if you put your device near your chest you can start recording. You can stop recording by moving the phone away. Friends can see your recordings and locations, so they can be aware of where you are. You can also manually record your moments.
QUIZ A+
it is a quiz with 5 different sections (geography, biology, general knowledge, movies and tv shows, logics). Each section has 10 questions randomly selected from that category. Each question values 10 points. The best scores are kept in the “High Scores” section, which you can check out any time.
#QUIZ TIME
if you go to “Play” section you can select the numbers of questions you would like to go through (5, 10, 15 or 25). According to the selected number you can answer the questions in a randomized order. Furthermore, there is also a “How do I play” section, where in 5 steps it is explained the game. In the “Settings” section you can control the volume of the background music. The quiz helps students to learn for their exams.
BLOPPY BALL
to play you have to select the level and drag & drop the ball in the “Score” whole. Depending on the level, your time varies from 10 to 20 seconds and the ball changes its distance from the “Score” spot. There is also an “Options” section where you can choose whether to have background music or not.
CONVERT-O
is a currency, weight, length and temperature converter. Each section has 5 or 6 different measurement units. If you press the “Discover more” button you can see some frequently asked questions and volume controller.
SMARTSCHEDULE
was designed to help students have their schedule. This way they can have their schedule with them all the time. You can add your classes, and information about them (books you have to bring), or notes for each day.
Congrats to all the teams who gave their best these to weeks and to all the persons involved in creating this awesome event!
With love,
