The Beginning
The idea is an old “I need this app!” of ours, but we haven’t had the time to properly plan and build it. It all started in Spring 2012 when we thought about creating a health&lifestyle app.
After one iteration, we decided to build a METRO style app for iOS and Android, because we are very fond of Microsoft’s modern design language. Meanwhile, it seems the flat design is conquering all mobile platforms very rapidly.
Since then we’ve changed the logo and colors of Weightographic, but I will write about its evolution in another post.
November 2012
Microsoft WOWZAPP Hackathon Bucharest
We heard about the competition and thought it was the perfect opportunity to play with Windows 8 technology and start working on Weightographic. We were one of the winning teams and we were glad that our idea and design concept were warmly welcomed.
December 2012
Mobile AppCamp Skopje
We talked to a lot of people about our idea. The app prototype was also very well received by the judges at AppCamp, some even offered to help us further with beta-testing and being our early adopters.
January-February 2013
Windows Startup Challenge
We entered the Challenge with the app prototype video and went through to round 2 after a 50% public voting + 50% judging phase. We were on the 5th place out of 156 candidates after the public voting, so thank you again for your support!
These days
We have launched the signup site for Weightographic.
