Throughout 2025, we continued our Cobalt Matters meetings as a regular way of bringing the team together. These sessions gave us time to step away from our usual tasks and focus on conversations connected to our work, the tools we use, the way we collaborate, and recent news and developments in artificial intelligence.

All meetings take place in the morning. We start the day together with coffee and croissants and ease into the discussion. We usually pick a theme in advance, and one of us leads the session, setting the direction for the conversation. From there, the discussion opens up naturally, with everyone encouraged to contribute their thoughts, questions, and experiences.

Topics We Discussed

Most of the topics we discussed this year were closely related to our work. Many sessions touched on technical subjects, while others explored ideas connected to how we build, collaborate, and improve our processes. The focus stayed practical and relevant, grounded in real situations we encounter as a team.

The conversations moved across a range of topics, including:

  • Series of Programming Best Practices
  • AI Tools
  • Integrating AI into Our Work: Privacy, Efficiency, and Control
  • Improving Code Quality
  • Design Patterns
  • Code Review Etiquette & Process

Cobalt Matters Discussion

These discussions were not about reaching final answers or conclusions. Instead, they offered a chance to look at things from different angles, share observations, and learn from one another in a relaxed setting.

As technology continues to change at a rapid pace, artificial intelligence has become an increasingly important topic for us, one we regularly return to in order to better understand its impact on our work and the products we build.

Looking back at our Cobalt Matters meetings in 2025, they reflect a steady habit of coming together, exchanging ideas, and continuing to learn as a team.
